We saw the funniest thing yesterday on the MRT. Chris awas standing and I was sitting, and as some people moved by him he lifted his bag up off the floor slightly to shift it over a bit, and this creepy crawly thing scooted underneath it. I was trying to say 'Look Out!!' in a calm voice as to not cause a panic, and when he got my message and lifted his bag up this little crab came scurrying out. It was about the size of a quarter, gray and leggy. How weird! How does a crab get into the MRT? Was he escaping from some crazy French chef, Sebastian style? Was he carried in the pocket of a little person, Bart Simpson style? It was pretty neat but creepy...I kept my eye on him the rest of the ride.
A side note about the house pictures...Our manager today told Chris how much our apartment would cost to buy... over 500,000 CDN$. This is not a comment on the wealth of our school housing budget, which is really unwealthy actually, but rather a comment on the craziness of the Taipei real estate market. Can you imagine that much for a three bedroom apartment?
