A Miracle!

To tell this story I need to go back a few weeks to the beginning...

This guy called the school looking for a group of American children to sing an English song on a live broadcast TV show. The show is the Little Golden Bell awards, and honors excellence in children's broadcasting in Taiwan. So of course I said Yes, how awesome of a chance to be on TV! So I picked my kids, picked a song, etc. All with a fair share of head aches: yes I can, no I can't, maybe I can, this song is too long, too short, etc. Then I had to burn the song onto a CD without the voice track. Ok, so my computer won't do that, I need my old stereo back. Get the old stereo, hook it up, and push the magic button on the remote that drops the voice track and...nothing. notta. zlich. I tried for over an hour on Tuesday, fiddled with wires, everything. And nothing worked. So I was freaking out because I need this CD split by Wednesday because the guy was coming. So I prayed and worried and prayed and worried. I woke up stressing abou it! Then after a great chapel by our 9th grade students I was sitting in the music room, telling Ali about my huge dilema and I push the button and ..TA DA!!! It worked! So I got my CD burned and it was awesome.

There are still lots of details to work out. The show is October 20, but there is no school next week for fall break so we have only the week of the show left to practice. What to wear? I have no idea; they want 'tadtitional American dress' so jeans and a t-shirt, right? The kids have to learn the actions (We are doing ASL to the song), agagahgahgagh. It is consuming me! Please pray it goes well and we do awesome because it will be broadcast LIVE all over Taiwan on 4 channels.

Congratulations for being picked to be on TV. I wish you and your students good luck. Maybe it would help you get ready if you updated your blog template and changed your profile picture (just a suggestion).

:)
I'm not trying to be cruel, just keeping the pressure on.
