Today is a half day and I love it! I was feeling a little blah last week, just no motivation and to do anything but this week has been really goood; the hype before the holiday :D And I had a super productive week. Yesterday (wednesday) I had a staff meeting, a friend over for dinner, scrapbooked three pages with her for another friends going away gift, and then went to the scooter shop to check out my new wheels (more on that later). Tuesday I made a cake for the staff meeting, made supper for chris and I, and then made supper for the dinner I was planning for wednesday. (meatballs; yummy but so time consuming). And I got a bunch of scrapbooking done then, too. I love when I can get things done. Tonight during small group we are seetingup for Good Friday reflection stations at the Ministry Center, then having people over. Tomorrow fabric market and Good Friday event, and games night/movie night. Saturday tutor and help Chris clean up because Tom is coming.
So about my new wheels; this friend of ours left Taiwan and her old broken scooter sitting by the side of the road. When she was back visiting she gave me the key and the papers and said I could have it if I wanted to fix it up. So last night Gemma and I biked over to where it was parked, and I have to admit I was not optimistic. I mean, it had been almost a year since she left it there. A) Would I be able to find it? B) Would it still be there? C) Will it cost a tonne of money to fix? Fortunatley enough it was so easy to find, and it was parked right in front of a scooter shop. I asked the scooter guy if he spoke ENglish and he said no, so I motioned for him to come over and see it, and he said 'Ohhh!! Long time!! 1 year! Long time!!!" And I was like, yah, I know. "Doh shiao chien?" (How much money? And it is not going to be too much; less than 150CDN. So that is exciting. So my first order of business for the break is to get my driver's liscence.
Too bad Dad wasn't here to fix it up :)

I wish I could have productive days like that - I don't get quite that much done at a time. I'm glad the scooter is working out.
