Musical Moments

I had two major concetrs this weekend, and both were great. Friday night was K-5 concert at school, and Saturday we went to Taichung all day for Music Festival. It was lots of fun, and I LOVE the sound of a huge band. There were over 70 kids playing together and they sounded so good. There were about 50 in the choir and they sang one song so well it teared me up. I never commented on Chester's blog about the music, but I have those moments sometimes in class, when you work so hard on a piece for weeks and weeks and then Wow, the kids do it perfectly and it is such a great feeling.

Feeling kind of mello today, coming off the high of a busy week. AND I missed a friends birthday, doh. So sorry Allie, I'll call you soon!

On the agenda for this week; shopping for a special friends shower this week. And a women's retreat on Saturday-Sunday (my first night away from Gemma; AHH). Will keep you posted.

Nevada,
As scarry as a night away from Gemma is, it is so deserved. You are an absolutely wonderful mom and deserve a night off, and Chris is a great dad and will have no problems.
The first time is always the hardest, then it just gets easier to the point where you could leave your kids forever ;P. Also it will not be as hard on Gemma as you might think it will be. As I have said before kids are such resiliant little people, that they adjust to new situations like nothing, especially when she is with Daddy.
If you leave her a couple more times before summer, just think, you could take a week off and leave her with Gramma and Grandpa, or Baba!! I know that you wouldn't leave her for a week especially when you are on holidays, but you might be able to have a night or two for you and Chris, with Gemma with grandparents, and how nice would that be!! Seriously don't rule that out, I firmly believe that once in a while you need to do that for your relationship with your spose, and one or two nights, grandparents love to have the babies to themselves to spoil.
I am really looking forward to seeing you when you come home.
