I don't normally ask for special favors but I have one now. And you always hear stories of people wanting to help out and giving special deals so ok, here it is.
I tried to do my own income tax this year. And I can't. I have no idea how, have never done it on my own before. (My dad has always taken it to his accountant, but it costs like a hundred bucks and plus I would actually like some sort of explanation with it this time) So my sister recommended using QuickTax, and it started out easy enough but then when it came time to enter numbers, well...forget it! The first attempt I owed 9 million and some dollars. So I went back, adjusted the exchange rate or something, well then I only owed 250,000. Still not the figure I was going for, so went back again and tried something else and got it down to 5000. This is still about 10 times what we normally pay and by now it was pretty late so I gave up.
I know it should be so easy but the foreign income thing is so screwy. We are residents but not, make Taiwanese dollars... I only have 1 W5 (like a T4 but American) Anyways, I know we missed the deadline but if anyone out there knows a great accountant who wants to do a favor for a missionary couple in Taiwan, let me know!

Maybe this is something we could do over Skype. You give me the numbers and I will fill out the forms. I am not an accountant but I have always done my own Income Tax.

If BRenda's idea doesn't work, my step-mom is an accountant. She doesn't do taxes, but she does her own and usually helps the rest of us out with ours. So since Chester is Tim's good friend, maybe even best, she may give you a hand. Let me know:)

Nevada,
I am not sure if you have figured this out yet or not, if not, I have done taxes for several years, I used to do income tax at the accounting office I worked at in Saskatoon, and could give you a hand. Let me know how it works out or if you need help.
