My Week

Sorry for the lack of posting.

We had our final concert on Friday, and it was AWESOME! The kids did good, and they all seemed really excited about the music that they made. There was lots of cheering and excitement for each of the groups that perform. (This was the middle school concert and so there was Beginner Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Flute Choir, Jazz Band, and Choir. Not bad for a middle school population of less than 100.) Another great part of the night was that after the concert EVERYONE stayed and helped clean up. No parents tried to steal their children away, and lots of parents/teachers stayed and so we got everything put away nicely in record time. So that was really really good.

We watched the season finale of Survivor and America's Next Top Model, and I was very happy Whitney won. She is very pretty (although slightly annoying to listen to). That is my favorite TV show.

The house is a mess but I keep thinking, well we're moving and so it will have to be cleaned super good soon anyway, so I might as well just wait. It's pretty scary to think that we leave for the summer in 3 weeks! So I guess that means we move next weekend because Chris has a men's retreat the first weekend in June. Hmmm... It ought to be very exciting around here for the next few days. Part of the reason for the house being so messy is that I've been busy getting ready for the last party of the year, Audrey and Andy's baby shower. I have the best group of friends and we've successfully planned the women's retreat, Ali's lingerie shower and finally baby wu's surprise shower. And they were VERY surprised! Yay! It went off without a hitch and so I am very relieved. Although I didn't get my quilt done. Oh well. It won't be cold enough to use it until winter anyway.

We fly into Calgary on June 9, will have dinner with my sister and Brenda and then drive home. Today is May 18. Whoa.
