What have I been up to? Hmm...

I got in touch with a great oboe teacher who is going to come to school and teach private lessons to a grade 5 student and new oboe player. I watched a bit of the lesson today and he is a great teacher and she is a great student, so I am happy.

Last week I helped a new student try the instruments and he decided he was going to play clarinet. Well today he came to school with a brand new clarinet in a fancy new gig bag. How fun! We took all the wrappers off and took all the little extra pieces of cork out that were tucked in the nooks and crannies, and greased the corks for the first time. I was giddy with excitement, he was alright. In other band news only 2 people have dropped their instruments so far...

Floors cleaned. Dishes washed. Kids bathed. Check check check. Went to the post office yesterday and mailed birthday cards to Mikala, Aaron, Kim, and Cody. I bought and wrote on the cards 3 weeks ago, and finally got them off.

It's now 11:00. I can read for a bit I think before I crash, yay.
