Priorities

Chris is in Australia this week, so the McKenzie women are manning the fort. I took off Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday morning, Monday afternoon she came to school with me, yesterday with the babysitter, all day today with the sitter (the first time ) then tomorrow and Friday she’ll come to school in the afternoon again. My school is so great and helpful in that way. There is always someone with a prep or a break who is willing to help with her, and even that I can bring her so often is such a blessing. Not very many workplaces let you hang out with your kid at work.

Brenda got off ok last Friday. We had the weekend to chill out and then Chris left early Monday morning so life is still not back to normal. Things are so busy but I keep telling myself to just enjoy it all; Gemma will not be a baby forever and there will always be grading and planning to do. So even though I am not doing the best I could as a teacher, I’m putting baby first. Priorities!
