No pictures yet, but we had a real feast yesterday. It was the first turkey dinner I ever helped out with, I mean without parental supervision. I held the turkey while Adrienne stuffed it, and then we collaborated on how to sew it up. There was salad, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, fresh bread...so yummy. I will admit though, that it felt very weird to be sitting around the table with friends eating turkey. Turkey is a very family food and so I guess that part was weird. Actually, we spent a lot of the day wondering when we got old enough to be cooking turkeys and lamenting that we never paid closer attention to what our parents did. Is that what it was like when our parents cooked their first turkey? I would like to hear about the first turkey my mother cooked. I can't even imagine my grandmother's first turkey. She's probably cooked more turkeys than I could count.
We also watched the Friends thanksgiving episodes. Remember when Joey says he will eat the whole turkey, and then he puts on the maternity pants?
