I took Chris on a surprise wine and cheese date. We went to the botanical gardens and set up our little picnic. There weren't too many people because of the grey yucky weather, but fortunately it wasn't raining because I didn't have a backup plan. I looked up wine and cheese pairings on the internet, went to the local wine shop and grocery store. I had a fancy cheese place in my mind, but with Gemma in tow I decided to keep it simple. I also had calzones prepped for supper. Ali, who was babysitting, got them ready and in the oven so when we got home we had yummy hot dinner. Then Chris and I both had small group, so date afternoon ended. Chris has always been the thoughtful guy in our relationship, the one who does the romantic dates and surprises, so I tried to pull off something special. Not bad, I think. Not 100% but A for effort :)
