So we are back home. It feels really nice to be here, although since I unpacked in such a hurry before we left and ten we haven;t been here in so long I forget where i put everything. So far I've had to look for the garbage can, towels, facecloths, and Gemma's diapers. My closet seems to be well organized, and so I am unpacked but I have no idea what I started doing in Gemma's dresser so I gave up.
I remember my first trip to Taiwan. The time seemed to fly by. I read books, watched movies, and enjoyed my freedom. Contrast to now, trip number 6. Time. Stood. Still.
Gemma had a long nap, we had a meal, I saved a meal forever for her, she woke up and ate.... and only 3 hours had passed! As soon as I'd think well, its been ages now, there were still hours and hours to go. 12 hours has never passed so slowly. Contributing factors? Now that I have Gemma I can't really read. When she sleeps I try to sleep. When she is awake, I keep her from crawling all over everything and everyone. Second, my TV was broken. That sucked! I managed to watch a bit on Gemma's TV (she was sleeping so I couldn't trade her seats). Three, the lady in front of me, and her son in front of Gemma, had their seats fully reclined the WHOLE flight. Except for briefly during one meal. So I had zero room. I don't mind if you recline when you are sleeping or whatever, but for the whole flight? I think that is so rude. She was reclined watching TV. She reclined to drink and eat. Once I looked to see if they were sleeping and her son wasn't even in his chair, he was one over b/c there was an extra space, and she still had it fully reclined!!!! SO RUDE! So then I lifted it up for her.
It feels good to be back. Just chillin and trying to get the house in order before I go back to work next week.
