Pheww

We were about to declare a state of emergency here because of a lost passport. Guinness', of all people. 'Cause he uses it so often, right? We are going to Bali for Easter and so needed to send the passports to the travel agent, and all of ours were there except for the little man. ???????? It was so weird. That's the problem of being organized; if something isn't in the right place you are pooched because you have no fall back places. So ok, I was trying to think back, where did I have it last? I took it for renewal in October. I took mine and the kids to the trade office, and the lady said that his had one more year so it didn;t need to be renewed and so all of his stuff should have been all together in an envelope, on the important papers shelf. I knew where mine and Ge's was because it got mailed back in December, the 16th to be exact, which I know because it is all still in that envelope in the important papers box. So were were freaking out because of Bali in 3 weeks, and his ARC is up for renewal which also means passport, and I looked EVERYWHERE. I was totally bummed, frustrated, annoyed, scared.... And the more I thought about where I had it last the more panicked I got because I realized what else was missing; a copy of his birth certificate, his Chinese birth certificate, his new passport photos. Where was all that stuff?

So I prayed and prayed and we prayed at staff meeting this morning and I was trying not to be doubtful and pray 'too much' (if there is such a thing) but I knew I had prayed for it and I just had to wait and so I gulped down my snack here and set to work checking the shelf one more time. And there it all was, in an envelope, just as it should be. So I am so thankful to God and so relieved and wow. I can sleep tonight!
