that time of year

Annual dentist time is upcoming and I have a confession: it's the only 2 months a year I floss. I start flossing to prep for the appointment so he thinks I take good care of my teeth. I say two months because thats about how long it takes to get into the routine and keep it going, then I make the appointment. My gums are throbbing right now, you know that first time you've flossed in too long feeling, and they are super ouch. Flossing is one of those habits I've always wanted to get into, like exercising, and tweezing regularly. Anyway, my teeth have been feeling more sensitive this year, so I think I will get a flouride treatment this year. I really like our dentist, he cracks me up and is very nice. AND another bonus is now we have known him for two years and so he can be a guarantor on our passports. (Although now Chris' is good now and mine is still good till 2010. But just in case)

And on a another note, Swiss Miss hot chocloate is the best I have ever had, hands down. It has a creamy milky taste without having to add any milk. Usually I mix the powder with a few tablespoons of powder then add the hot water, but Swiss Miss tastes like I did that without having to. Yumm.

It's funny how much we worry about what the dentist thinks about our teeth when the only person to whom it really matters is ourselves.

I do the exact same thing, which makes me mad at myself, since I worked so hard when I had braces (and up until a couple of years ago) to floss every day! And it doesn't even take that long - why don't I just do it?! My dentist appointment is on Jan. 22 - when's yours?

Do you find your gums are more sensitive since you've been pregnant/nursing?
